Gray Road and Main Street Roundabout
This project involved the construction of a two by one lane, four legged roundabout at the intersection of Main Street and Gray Road. Dual lane entries and exits will be along Main Street while Gray Road will have single lane entry and exit. There will also be a 10 foot wide shared use path constructed along the west side of Gray Road throughout the intersection. The construction limits will extend approximately 500 feet along the west, south, and east legs of the intersection and 600 feet along the north leg of the intersection. The existing intersection is currently a signal-controlled intersection. The project is anticipated to be constructed during a full closure in 2018

Roundabout Construction and Improvements
Carmel builds roundabouts because of their proven safety record; compatibility with the environment; aesthetics, and ability to make it easier for pedestrians and bicyclists. Roundabouts reduce injury accidents by about 80% and accidents overall by about 40%.
Storm Water and Drainage Improvements
The storm water and drainage projects included in Carmel Link 2.0 are designed to maintain existing storm water infrastructure, construct new infrastructure, address localized drainage issues, and reduce waterway pollution.
Street and Pathway Improvements
Widening and reconstruction of streets creates less congestion, a more responsible impact on the environment, greater aesthetic appeal and increased safety. By adding more bicycle friendly multi-use paths, Carmel encourages citizens to walk, jog, and run.
